Specifically, Hirsch’s sister’s lime green troll doll sweater from elementary school. Even though I was very young, I still remember thinking, “This is unusual.” The sweater had actual hair and a gem sticking out of the belly. It’s strange that she’s wearing this in public.'”
In any case, there’s something else to the sweaters besides affectionate recollections of cheap youth knitwear. Hirsch was of the opinion that because Mabel’s character is so fun-loving and bubbly, unlike many cartoon characters in animated series, she would not wear the same outfit week after week.
Acne is associated with the name “Dipper.”
Hirsch claims that Dipper’s distinctive forehead birthmark was, at least in part, a natural phenomenon. I had a student in my high school who had terrible acne, and I loved drawing constellation-like patterns on his face.
I would draw his odd acne cluster every day without him knowing and think, “Hmm, this could be Orion.” And one day, all he had on his forehead was a perfect Big Dipper.”
Oregon served as inspiration for Gravity Falls itself.
As a kid, Hirsch went on street outings and was “charmed” that there was a town called Exhausting (which names itself “The Most Intriguing Spot to Live”). ” Gravity Falls is influenced in part by my impressions of Boring. Gravity Falls, in Oregon, might be the opposite of boring.
Jason Ritter nearly lost his job.
Ritter directed the pilot for Gravity Falls, but he had already committed to another show by the time Disney picked it up.

He stated to the A.V. Club in 2012, “I knew from the beginning that it’s got to be Kristen Schaal or there will be no show.” I would have stopped working entirely. I probably would have given up had we not obtained her. We are shown a collection of Polaroid photographs depicting the twins’ various summer activities at the conclusion of the theme song. There is one at the very top that isn’t even completely visible in the shot. However, the red goatee that represents Mr. Hirsch can be just made out.

Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty are not linked in any big way but they share a few Easter eggs
Rick and Morty, a show on Adult Swim, has made some fans aware of Gravity Falls references. Interesting? Yes, but don’t get too excited about it because Justin Roiland, who co-created Rick and Morty, and Alex Hirsch worked together on the Disney show Fish Hooks. “We would talk about ways in which we would childishly abuse this power,” Hirsch told Entertainment Weekly. “We both dreamed one day of having our own weird TV shows.” For reasons unknown, the universe has favored us with our distraught wishes … We began placing minimal Hidden goodies in our shows that kind of associated the two. That is primarily motivated by our desire to shock and awe others. Most likely, the fans created the impression of a grand, brilliant design.”

It turns out Hirsch and Rick and Morty co-maker Justin Roiland are simply pals sharing a snicker.

Hirsch stated to Mary Sue, “The truth is just that we’ve been friends since before we had TV shows, and enjoy messing with people.” That much is evident: Hirsch played Toby Matthews in an episode of Rick and Morty from 2015, and after McDonald’s sent a batch of its Szechuan sauce to Roiland by mail, Hirsch was one of the few people to try it.

Since Hirsch and his sister were born on June 18, he claims he hid the number 618 a lot throughout the show, especially when he needed some filler. However, some fans noticed it everywhere and gave it too much weight. He worked as a magician in LA at first.
They ended up digging up what they thought were additional 618s that were just random items with that familiar shape, in addition to locating all of the references to 618 that had been deliberately hidden, such as the cash register balance, Gideon’s school ID, and the address of the Mystery Shack.

“They began uncovering fictitious hidden 618s, such as the shape of boats from a distance that resembles a six, a pillar that resembles a one, and the uppercase and upside-down letter b that resembles an eight. That sort of thing,” Hirsch explained to the A.V. Club. It has, in my opinion, been very encouraging. I want to do it more the fans love it.
